 Greetings from ND ACA!

Here are a few updates from the organization!  My apologies if you get this message more than once.  I am working on getting an email list serve properly set up.

First, we are still in waiting for the councilman vote for NFAA’s affiliation.  No worries, you can wait on your NFAA membership as well as your ACA membership until that vote is finished.  In the interim, you do not need NFAA membership to register and compete in our first three shoots—January (Vegas); February (Blue 300 Target); and March (Indoor 3D).  Below you will find the registration information.  Just put “0000’s” in for your NFAA number if you are not current nationally or have never had one.  The first national tournament that requires NFAA is National Indoor in KY in March (The Vegas Shoot does not require national membership.)

Each state shoot will have awards immediately after the event.  Each state shoot goes toward a cumulative year end set of awards.  One set of awards are our Grand Champions which are the highest total score shot in each age, division, and gender.  For example, Grand Champion Cub Male Bowhunter Freestyle or Adult Female Freestyle, etc.  The Grand Champion is the highest total score of the age, gender, and division for 2022.  Please note if you have youth…if they shoot half the season as cub and the other half as youth—they will take themselves out of contention for that award.  Likewise, if you prefer to shoot 3D with your bowhunter rig and your paper target competition with your freestyle rig you will also be out of contention for Grand Champion.  The other year end accolade will be Youth and Adult Men and Women Shooters of the Year.  These will be grand total score regardless of cross age examples listed above or rig examples above.  Youth for this award is defined as 17 and under.

Please not that the flyers I made may have added confusion regarding cubs.  All age groups shoot 20 yards for Vegas and NFAA Blue Face 300 EXCEPT cubs who are 11 and under.  They shoot at 10 yards.  In 3D, targets for all ages can be out to 50 yards EXCEPT cubs who can be out 30 yards.  (Indoor will only be out to 15 yards.)

We are selling raffle tickets to assist with awards!  You can visit our website (www.acarchers.com), and hit the link for raffle for an ongoing updated list of prizes!  The raffle will be done at the ACA Indoor 3D Shoot in Bismarck at Nishu Bowmen!

It's not too late to register for ACA State Vegas this weekend in Grand Forks (January 22).  Registration closes Wednesday, January 19, at midnight!  To register, go to: www.tinyurl.com/ACAVegas

ACA State NFAA Blue Face 300 is right around the corner.  Our friends from Sandhills is our host on February 19 & 20.  To register, go to: www.tinyurl.com/ACAState300

ACA State Indoor 3D will round out our first three shoots.  I will get the flyer out soon.  Here is our calendar for 2022:

We sure appreciate your shared excitement for this new organization.  Our mission is to promote competitive archery and supporting youth archers to experience all disciplines of archery in a structured environment.

Hope to see you all soon!

PS We received a few requests to figure out virtual options for the smaller venue target shoots.  We discussed the topic for a great while and feel that we cannot ensure the integrity of virtual locations which is one of the driving forces of this new organization to begin with—we sure hope you all understand and will consider joining us when you are comfortable.  Thank you.
